Movement has been a lifelong passion of Alexis’. Her mission is to share that passion with her clients.

Alexis started taking dance lessons at the age of 3 and went on the train at San Francisco Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet School and American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive. In addition to ballet, Alexis has studied classical Japanese dance, contemporary, and hula, among others. She danced professionally with the Oakland Ballet and Sacramento Ballet Companies. After she stopped dancing professionally, she attended and graduated from New York University and worked at a top Arts Management Company. Feeling the pull for a more active career, she became a certified Pilates instructor through the Kane School of Core Integration in New York and taught Pilates in San Francisco.

While teaching Pilates, she had the opportunity to learn about GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® and was very drawn to these methods. She trained to become a certified GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® Instructor at San Francisco GYROTONIC® studying under Master Trainer Debra Rose. Her favorite part of this movement system is the brilliant way the movements stabilize through contrast. And she loves how she simultaneously feels incredible expansiveness/openness and connection.

Alexis believes movement can enhance everyone’s life, especially as our bodies begin to have challenges later in life. She is a certified Buff Bones® instructor and enjoys teaching her clients to safely strengthen their bodies. Buff Bones® is a Pilates based program safe for those with Osteoporosis and low bone mass. She finds fulfillment seeing the transformations of her clients as they gain strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.

Alexis' light of her life is her 9 year old son. When she has spare time, she enjoys hiking and reading.
