1. Who can benefit from a Buff Bones® class?

Anyone wanting to improve posture, build stronger bones and increase balance, strength, and flexibility.

 

2. Requirements for the class: 

The Buff Bones® class is appropriate for anyone who is mobile, can get down to the ground and back up and has reasonable balance (is steady on two feet). The class can be adapted to the needs of individuals with varying conditions, including but not limited to stenosis, spondylolysis, hip and knee replacements, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprain and rotator cuff strain.

If you have challenges with getting to the ground and back up and have mobility issues, please contact me to find out about my other Buff Bones® class for those with greater stability and balance challenges.

3. What do you need to bring?

  • A yoga or Pilates mat

  • A pair of small hand weights between 1-3 pounds

  • A towel or small pillow for your head, if needed

 

4. What should I wear?

Clothing that you can move easily in. Footwear: barefoot or non-slip socks for safety reasons.

 

5. What does the class consist of?

We begin with standing work. Then move to the floor and do exercises in supine (on our back), prone (on our stomach), side lying, and quadruped. We finish the class with standing work and weights.
